On this my one more trip to Melitopol, I've been to outskirts (as I always did), and made a little walk to the central square, which was decorated for the new year celebrations. On the outskirts, I even had to cross the Molochna river using a simple ford in rather cold conditions of +4°C. Somebody had placed two concrete poles over the river, but they were not high enough for dry crossing.
It was cold to cross! The view from the opposite shore was spoiled by plastic bags all over the place.
It was once again that I went down this nice meditative path along a channel of Molochna.
The mentioned channel had no water in its upper section. Some water began to show up only here under the bridge. It was dry enough for the cars to use this track as the detour when there were road works on the bridge.
One more example of classic wooden pallets being very useful to humanity. A whole river crossing was created solely from these!
The «Scythia-Solar» power station was already up and running. I saw it under construction in one of my previous visits to Melitopol.
The sheep, who were already abundant last time I passed here, increased their population even more.
There were rains sometime ago, and eroded a piece of a track road near Sadove. The locals were quick to drop off their garbage into the sinkhole.
A piece of land with the status of park art memorial (my loose translation) was abandoned as can be.
A tiny portion of it was maintained — at least, meticulously swept.
Bus stop «Sadove (park)».
The central street of Bohdan Khmelnitsky was empty, with these lanterns leaning over the tarmac.
The central Peremohy square had light objects installed for the people to take photos with.
The pine tree was present in the form of a cone of tiny lamps. Nice.
Another object made of a zillion tiny lamps was entertaining the leisure walkers.
Such was the beginning of the year 2020 in Melitopol.
