It turned out that Kyiv churches do not always look like postcards.
I went to walk a bit once during a lunch break, and dove into some arches inside the old block between Volodymyrska, Prorizna, Bohdana Khmelnytskoho and Pushkinska streets. It was mildly interesting there, with all the old stuff and some hilliness. There stood this funny church that I decided to take photos of.
The dome stood right below air conditioning units and had no problems with «something being higher than the cross». Religious mycelium grows, if it really wants to.
This was a church of the moscow orthodox patriarchy, dedicated to the Maria Magdalena.
You could put money into this box.
A small piece of Kyiv's modern history, let these photos stay for now.
